Corporate governance structure
We have designed our corporate governance structure to best support our business, meet the needs of our stakeholders and comply with laws and regulations.
Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize N.V. (‘Ahold Delhaize’) is a public company under Dutch law, structured to execute our strategy and to balance local, regional and global decision-making.
It comprises a Global Support Office and five segments – Ahold USA, Delhaize America, The Netherlands, Belgium and Central and Southeastern Europe (CSE) - which are made up of a number of brands.
We have a two-tier board structure with a Supervisory Board and Management Board that are accountable to our shareholders. We also have an Executive Committee comprised of our Management Board and certain other key officers of the company.
