Ahold USA appoints Jan van Dam as Executive Vice President of Supply Chain and E-Commerce

Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States – Ahold USA today announced that Jan van Dam has been appointed to the position of Executive Vice President of Supply Chain and E-Commerce. In this role, which will be based in Carlisle, PA, van Dam will report directly to James McCann, Chief Operating Officer, and will be transitioning into his new assignment in April.

Van Dam will focus on leading a supply chain organization that supports Ahold USA and its four Divisions, Stop & Shop New England, Stop & Shop New York Metro, Giant Landover and Giant Carlisle. Van Dam’s direct reports include Jeff Enright, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Distribution Operations; Walt Lentz, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Replenishment and Forecasting; Mark Tarzwell, Vice President, Supply Chain Projects, Fresh; and Jerry Pimental, Vice President, Supply Chain Projects, Non-Perishable. In addition to supply chain, van Dam will also have responsibility for Ahold USA’s ECommerce business with Peapod President and General Manager Andrew Parkinson reporting to him.

With 17 years of experience at Ahold, Van Dam most recently served as President and CEO of Albert/Hypernova, Ahold’s supermarket business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Prior to that, he served as General Manager of Etos, Ahold’s drugstore business in the Netherlands, and he also held a number of leadership positions at Albert Heijn, Ahold’s supermarket business in the Netherlands.
