Wouter Kolk assumes role as Ahold Delhaize CEO Europe and Indonesia as of Oct. 1

October 1, 2018 - Ahold Delhaize today announces that Wouter Kolk is assuming his previously communicated role as CEO Ahold Delhaize Europe and Indonesia, effective immediately.

“We are excited for Wouter to kick off three months earlier than initially planned, to fully capture the growth opportunities we have in Europe,” said Ahold Delhaize CEO Frans Muller. “Under Wouter’s leadership, we will focus on supporting our great local brands, delivering local strategies, building scalable capabilities, and Saving for our Customers.”

Additionally, Wouter Kolk will drive European digital and e-commerce and procurement opportunities as well as own brand expertise and exploit new business prospects across the region. Wouter will be supported by a lean and dedicated team, consisting of a Chief Financial Officer, a Chief Human Resources Officer and a Head of Strategy. Ahold Delhaize is currently recruiting for these roles.
