Paulo Garcia named CFO Ahold Delhaize Europe and Indonesia

April 9, 2019 – Paulo Garcia has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, Ahold Delhaize Europe and Indonesia, effective May 1. He will be a member of the team led by Wouter Kolk, CEO Ahold Delhaize Europe and Indonesia, and report to Ahold Delhaize CFO Jeff Carr, based in Zaandam. 

Paulo has vast experience in finance, built during a career of 20 years at Unilever. Most recently he was CFO - Europe Cluster, overseeing more than €10 billion in sales and leading a team of 600 finance professionals across the region. Paulo started his career at Unilever as a management trainee in 1997 and has since held several roles in Audit, Funding, Controlling and as local CFO in different countries. His nationality is Portuguese.  

Paulo joins three other senior members of Wouter’s team: Tina Scheele, Head of Strategy for Europe; Nic Brassey, Chief Human Resources Officer for Europe; and David Vander Schueren, SVP International Agreements and Private Brand Sourcing (Europe).
