Delivery duo: AH to go, Thuisbezorgd.nl begin partnership in Amsterdam

December 17, 2018 – AH to go and Dutch food delivery company Thuisbezorgd.nl are collaborating to offer the delivery of an assortment of products from two AH to go stores in Amsterdam. The items are transported by e-bike free of charge, allowing customers to enjoy their AH to go favorites even if they are not near a store.  

The new service, which was announced last week, includes products such as soups, poké bowls, freshly made rolls, salads, fruit snacks and fresh juices. Ordered online, they are picked up by an orange-clad Thuisbezorgd.nl courier for delivery.  

“Ordering a lunch or meal online is becoming more and more commonplace,” said Jan-Willem Dockheer, Brand President of AH to go. “Together with Thuisbezorgd.nl, we can make even more customers happy with our delicious, fresh products.” 

AH to go, with 84 stores, is a convenience format featuring a broad array of options for an easy, tasty lunch, snack or meal. Thuisbezorgd.nl, part of international food delivery market place Takeaway.com, is the market leader in online food ordering, offering deliveries in six cities from over 7,500 restaurants in the Netherlands.  

The partnership will be evaluated in two months, with Albert Heijn expected to announce more delivery initiatives early next year.
