Customers able to pick up bol.com orders in Albert Heijn stores

Books, toys and baby products available for pickup during grocery shopping

Today, Albert Heijn and bol.com introduced their first joint service to offer customers even greater shopping convenience. Starting now, customers can not only have their bol.com orders delivered to an address of their choice; they can also pick them up at an Albert Heijn store. Bol.com orders can be collected whenever is convenient – for instance, while doing their daily groceries during the week, but also at weekends and in the evening. This new service will initially be offered at 59 stores, and will be extended to most other Albert Heijn stores in 2013.

Albert Heijn and bol.com are working closely together to offer customers more convenience. During the ordering process on bol.com, customers can now choose their preferred method of delivery. Items ordered online on week days before 22.30 will usually be available for pickup in store after 3pm the following day. Once the order is ready for pickup, an email is sent to the customer. Bol.com orders with a value of €20 or more qualify for free delivery whether at home or to a store. Items can also be returned to the store within 30 days without additional costs.

Together, Albert Heijn and bol.com are developing many more initiatives aimed to offer customers even greater shopping convenience in future.
