Albert’s Healthy 5 program in the Czech Republic – a healthy eating educational program for schools run by the Albert Charity Foundation – announced the launch of a new cookery competition called “Golden Coins in the Kitchen.”
The competition is designed for primary school pupils and children aged 11 and older from children’s homes. Golden Coins in the Kitchen is the first in a series of talent shows organized by Healthy 5, aiming to raise children’s interest in healthy food and the preparation of simple meals using healthy ingredients.
“We could see the huge interest that dozens of thousands of children had in the issue of healthy cooking during our new educational program offered since October to the pupils of the last four years of primary schools in the Czech Republic,” says Communications Director Albert Judita Urbánková. “Both girls and boys engage in an active way and compete with their creative ideas for healthy refreshments. We are looking forward very much to what they enter into the competition.”
The task of the three-strong teams will be to prepare a light cold lunch or dinner. At the same time, the meals should be unique visual works of art that use fruits, vegetables and other healthy food. A jury of experts, consisting of Healthy 5 representatives, will evaluate the overall idea, creativity, teamwork and result of the meal.
