Ahold completes transaction of C1000 and Jumbo stores

Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Ahold today announced that it has completed the transaction with Jumbo concerning 78 C1000- and 4 Jumbo stores, as announced on April 26, 2012. The transaction was approved on July 26, 2012 by the Dutch competition authority.

Albert Heijn will start to convert 14 of the stores to its banner and reopen them for customers as soon as possible. The other stores will be converted to the Albert Heijn banner over a period of time, in close cooperation with the entrepreneurs.
