Ahold announces temporary replacement of Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Zaandam, the Netherlands – Ahold announces that Rob van den Bergh will replace, on an interim basis, Jan Hommen as the Company's Chairman, subject to the appointment of Jan Hommen as CEO of KPMG on June 14, 2014.

Following his recent nomination at KPMG, Jan Hommen will temporarily step down as Chairman as per June 14, 2014, if elected CEO of KPMG on that date; he will remain a member of the Company's Supervisory Board.

Rob van den Bergh has been a member of the Company's Supervisory Board since 2011 and brings a broad experience in executive and non-executive positions.
